- Bc it is an emotional play, the same feeling (regret and sadness) is displayed throughout the whole show no matter what scene it is
- The sadness and the regret is the foundation and the bass of the all emotions in the memory----they seem sad in Tom's head
- The tone of the music narrows and excludes other possible emotions that might be stimulated in the play (ex: aggression, angry)
- The music is a subtle indicator that the play is a memory play. When Tom recalls this part of the memory, he would be sad.
