The group I am in changes Romeo and Juliet into a game. The characters are all artificial intelligence. Besides the original characters, there are additional characters such as the people from the game company and the gamer that is playing the game. The gamer plays the game by stopping the game and adjusts characters position and their actions. To keep the story in a right way, there are some key points that no characters in the game can change. The play shows tragedy by illustrating all the characters have a certain destiny. No matter how hard they try, they cannot change their life that someone else designed for them.
The theme we are going to play is the death scene of Romeo and Juliet. The character I will play is Paris. In the original play, Paris tries to find Juliet in her grave. In my opinion, he is trying to do something inappropriate. In this scene, Paris fails to find Juliet in her grave so he goes to Friar’s cell by coincidence. When he finds Juliet, he is happy that his wife is still alive. He then tries to “move to the next step” to make the marriage completed. He is creepy and disgraceful at this point, which makes the world of the game more scary and unreal. The action of Paris also triggers Juliet to kill Paris and herself. The result of the death in the game is same as the original play. The scene is important to the character Paris. Following the original play as the “Bible”, Paris life ends in this scene. The scene states Paris’s destiny and gives this character an ending of tragedy.

I will also play one of the people that create the game. These people are evil but they cover themselves well. They are cold and too ration. Compare to the Romeo and Juliet, they are less emotional thus even look more like AI.

Romeo and Juliet's First Expression

The first time that Shakespeare introduces Romeo is by the conversation between Benvolio and Romeo. He is sad about the refusal from the Rosaline. The emotion is so strong that he frustrates himself and unwilling to interact with his friends and parents. Simply say, Romeo is too in love that his love is hurting himself: “ Griefs of my own lie heavy in my breast.” (Romeo and Juliet 21) Later on scene 4, he has worries that something bad will happen during the party and thus unwilling to go. The dialogues Romeo and Mercutio have implied that his anxiety comes from Romeo’s dream. However, it does not suggest the contents of the dream. Based on Romeo previous action about love, I think the dream is about him and Rosaline. He feels fear about meeting Rosaline in the party. MLML 8-10 notes

Chapter 8: This chapter talks about the journey of Desiree to the grand hotel. I think it not only notes how hard Desiree is on the way to her dream, but also a real state of the island. It was amazing how the author keeps our blinded as peasants in the beginning, not sure where we are. I was confused and scared at first with all the myths. And was blinded with peasants' one side argument about how widely the people on the island detach from each other. But through Desiree's journey, I finds that the trench between the poor and the rich are not as bad as I was imagining. There are different levels of the poor and the rich, Desiree is just unlucky to love the richest one. First I thought the story happens in a fantasy novel, with all the hierarchy and cruel king.
